Charity by PPI Monash Malaysia

At 8th of June 2022. PPI Monash Malaysia – Eunoia held an event called “Running Monashians” that aimed to strengthen the bond between Indonesian students in Monash Malaysia in a fun way. During the event, the participants were splitted into a couple of teams with different challenges that required them to travel around Sunway Area.

PPI Monash Eunoia conducted an event known as “Fortnight”. This event intends to tighten the bond between Indonesian students at Monash University Malaysia. We brought a series of events such as a sports tournament and fun activity called “Nongki Night” which means Hangout. Moreover, there is a prize for those who win at the sports tournament and games at the hangout night.

Returning to June 2022 as the last month for the semester 1 teaching period, PPI Monash Malaysia – Eunoia held an event called “Euthrift” that was open to all Monash University Malaysia students. Through this event, people could sort their unused belongings, and instead of throwing them away, why not sell them?

In the spirit of celebrating Indonesia’s independence day, PPI Monash Malaysia – Eunoia created an event named “Djoeang”. The event itself was separated into three different days with distinct activities. First day activities were flag ceremony and traditional games, while the second day was filled with live music performances and food stalls. Then, the event was closed on the third day, with futsal and badminton tournaments with another PPI in Malaysia.

At 5th November 2022, PPI Monash Malaysia – Eunoia hosted an event called “Career Up 2.0” which served to create an exposure for Indonesian fresh grads and university students to boost the start of their career. We want to express our utmost gratitude to the participants, Indira Joan Caecielia as our guest speaker, and ShipperCIMB NiagaPT PLN (Persero)UOB as the participating companies.

Throwback to 28 and 30 September 2022, PPI Monash Malaysia has collaborated with Monash Career Peer to organize an event called “IDEATON’. On 28 September there was an online event where the participants were given certain tasks and they physically presented on September 30th. Moreover, there were judges who were assessing the participants, and a grand total of RM600 prizes were awarded to the winning participants.

Welcoming Party 2023 , POCARI : POTLUCK CARI LARI

On March 4th 2023, PPI Monash Malaysia – Eunoia hosted a welcoming party called “POCARI: Potluck Cari Lari” to welcome the first semester of 2023. During the event, participants were divided into groups to compete in solving riddles around Monash University Malaysia. There was also a potluck picnic, where participants could get to know one another while enjoying the food provided.

Welcoming Party 2023 July Semester

As far as tradition goes, on the 5th of August, PPI Monash Malaysia – Eunoia invited all Indonesians in Monash Malaysia to participate in the July intake’s welcoming party. The world of crime and justice inspired the one-off event. Beyond fostering new connections, the gathering facilitated the enjoyment of an array of crime inspired games. To top the sequence of games, a final game emerged, unifying participants into two factions: the law enforcement “cops” and the elusive “robbers”.

Inspired by a traditional Yogyakarta game “Galah Asin”, the cops tried their best to capture the robbers who wanted to escape to the finish line. After the participants had their fun, we hosted a dinner session featuring various Indonesian delicacies.

“A great nation is a nation that knows the services of its heroes” is more or less the basis for celebrating Indonesia’s independence day from the past until now. Exactly 17 August 2023, “Gema Nusantara” is present as an event to commemorate the age of independence of the Republic of Indonesia, which has entered its 78th year.

Ramadhan is often cherished as a time for strengthening ties with family and friends among Indonesians. However, the majority of Indonesians studying abroad in Malaysia do not have the privilege of seeing their families during this time, whether it be due to academic or work-related responsibilities.

There’s a magical escape hatch called “OneWorld.” Thanks to the PPI Monash Malaysia, it’s like a taste bud time machine to Indonesia. They don’t just serve Indonesian food there; they serve up a slice of home that’s more comforting than grandma’s hugs. So, if you ever see an Indonesian student devouring Nasi Liwet at OneWorld

As Monash Cultural Night (MCN) comes to a close, Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia (PPI) celebrates in high spirits as they obtain awards in multiple categories. What started as a vision to portray the plethora of Indonesian cultures culminated in a win for best performance, prince and princess of the night, and best supporter. However, these awards were not won due to one singular individual.
